Melton's new sports heart, delivered eight weeks ahead of schedule
8 Sep 2025
The next stage of Melton City Council's major community sport development opens in Strathtulloh.
Local sporting groups and park users score big as Higgins completes Stage 2 of the Bridge Road Community Hub.
Stage 2 of the Bridge Road Community Hub is now open — eight weeks early. Our team managed complex staging to keep the park accessible while new facilities were built, giving Melton sporting clubs and community groups a new home base sooner than expected.
Designed to support local sporting clubs, the new hub offers facilities that bring people together for sport, fitness, and social activities.
Recently, Higgins proudly joined Melton City Council to celebrate the official opening of this vital sporting infrastructure. The event was a wonderful opportunity to mark this milestone with the local community alongside City of Melton Mayor, Cr Steve Abboushi, State Member for Melton, Steve McGhie MP, and fellow Councillors.
Congratulations to Melton City Council, our SJH-VIC team and project partners, who delivered this project two months ahead of schedule. It’s wonderful to see the local community come together and enjoy everything it has to offer.
