Higgins is delighted to announce that AdventCare Whitehorse in Nunawading has been highly commended in the 2025 AIB Victoria Awards - Commercial Construction $25-$60M category.

The AIB Awards program recognises building professionals who deliver complex projects to the highest standards. Luke’s leadership through the three-staged redevelopment of Adventcare's historic Nunawading site, stands out as an exceptional example of this. He guided our team through a highly technical refurbishment in a live aged care environment whilst managing the evolving challenges of COVID-19. Congratulations to Luke, Georgina Briffa, Damien Kinnane and Chris McInnes for their exemplary commitment to a quality service and built outcome.

This commendation reflects the complexity of delivering a premium seniors living environment while navigating unforeseen challenges. Through proactive problem-solving and teamwork, we delivered a welcoming facility that meets the evolving needs of residents and staff, all while keeping the site fully operational and maintaining program and budget.
