Australia ByDesign recognises projects that embody architectural excellence, cultural significance, and community value. The redevelopment of St George’s Church required meticulous heritage management to preserve its historic fabric within the heart of St Kilda.

Now reimagined as a fully equipped Performing Arts Centre, the revitalised building has been transformed into critical infrastructure for St Michael’s Grammar School, enriching their curriculum and providing students with inspiring spaces to learn, perform, and connect.

As the feature highlights, this project was a complex undertaking. Higgins was honoured to be entrusted with such a delicate restoration, drawing on our expertise in development, construction, and heritage structures.
