In partnership with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), we’re delivering a major campus expansion at Saltwater P–9 College. Designed by Fieldwork and Brand Architects, these contemporary additions will provide flexible learning spaces that support a broad curriculum while fostering a strong sense of community.

Higgins will apply specialist expertise in live education construction to deliver two new buildings while the campus continues operating. These facilities include:

• Building A: Two-level Specialist Building housing music, drama, food technology, science, and arts classrooms, as well as a multipurpose hall for gatherings and performances.
• Building B: Three-level Learning Neighbourhood featuring general learning areas with flexible breakout spaces, a dedicated library, and outdoor learning terraces.
  

In early August, the school community came together to mark the official sod-turning ceremony, joined by representatives from the VSBA, teaching staff, students, parents, and local leaders including Mathew Hilakari MP, Member for Point Cook (representing the education minister).

Because the new buildings sit on opposite sides of the campus, our team is managing two defined construction zones, keeping the space safe and functional for students and staff.

With ground works complete, we're pushing ahead to prepare these facilities for occupation next year. Congratulations to our team on a terrific start to a challenging live campus build. We look forward to sharing our progress as the new buildings take shape.
