As part of the ongoing campus modernisation at Koo Wee Rup Primary School, Higgins partnered with the VSBA to deliver a new multipurpose gymnasium.

The sports centre houses a competition-grade court, a music room, canteen, and modern amenities. It also features ample storage for equipment, a maintenance room, and staff amenities. Spectators are accommodated with a variety of seating options, including tiered timber seating on the south side of the court.

Designed for versatility, the music classroom includes an operable acoustic curtain wall that can be opened to connect the space with the sports court.

Our work began with demolishing the existing Building D and play areas to make way for the new structure. Externally, we completed hard and soft landscaping, including concrete paving, bike storage, various planter boxes, and restored the outdoor courts with resurfacing and new line markings.

Despite several challenges within an accelerated program, we achieved Practical Completion three weeks ahead of schedule, maintaining minimal disruption to school operations.
